Shooting...Shooting...

Started working with a free trial period of Lightroom.  I think I'm going to love it - but at the moment I'm a bit lost with it.  That new, how to find the right button for what I want to do thing.  I'm looking forward to practising with it, while still trying to get my work done!

I also had the great opportunity to shoot another model, Stacy.  What fun!  She equally looked good Mild Goth and Cutesy Beach.  Not to mention Librarian with Dagger!  Her husband, who traveled with her and played Pack Mule for a box of outfits, is the one who tipped us that there IS a free trial of Lightroom.  (Thank you, thank you!).  You never know what kind of connections you will make - even from a "simple" model shoot!

We shot a dance Hafla - LOTS of photos.  A reminder that it's a good thing to get to where you need to be early, so that you can pick the Sweet Spot - we weren't as early as we'd hoped to be and someone else beat me to it.  We were able to work around it, but that has caused a bit more editing.  Getting up on a chair helped - anything to get the good shot!  Glad I'd bought MORE extra batteries - taking photos of people twirling and weaving, snapping as many photos as possible to get That Moment - it tended to heat up the batteries, making them slower.  For those of you that know me, you know that was painful!  Thankfully, Eric was on hand to pass me fresh batteries as needed.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!  And keep taking photos, trying new things, and playing with the light you use!
